Reminder: City Council Meeting… This Thursday at 5:30 PM

Please join us for the City Council meeting on Thursday at 5:30 PM in the Council Chambers at City Hall. Your participation matters. Share your perspective and stay informed on City business.

Weed Health Center Renovation Making Progress

I recently toured the newly remodeled Weed Health Center, and it is coming along exceptionally well. The building has undergone a comprehensive redesign, offering increased space, improved patient flow, and a modern, updated layout. Once reopened, this will be a significant benefit to residents who rely on accessible healthcare close to home. We will continue working with the Health Center’s leadership to support a smooth reopening.

City Hall Facility and Space Planning

The Council will discuss the future of the City Hall building to ensure that services are accessible, safe, and well-equipped to meet the community's long-term needs. This is an early planning conversation that we will have at the upcoming City Council meeting on Thursday, 13 November 2025, at 5:30 PM. We’ll share updates as this moves forward.

Upgrading Our City Website

We’re selecting a new website provider to make it easier to:

  • Submit forms online

  • Apply for licenses and permits

  • Reserve City facilities

  • Pay City fees

  • Quickly find agendas and minutes

The goal is to reduce paperwork and provide faster service. More information will be provided once the transition schedule is finalized.

Water Service Rules Being Updated

We are finalizing a comprehensive Water Utility Ordinance to establish clear rules for responsibilities, provide billing clarity, address leak situations, and outline maintenance expectations. This reduces confusion, protects City infrastructure, and supports fair, consistent service. The ordinance will be presented publicly at an upcoming Council meeting.

Respectfully,

Dustin Stambaugh
