Weed City Fire Department conducting live fire training

Weed City Fire Department will be conducting live fire training in the area of South Davis Avenue and Woodridge Way on October 23, 2025, weather permitting. The training will start at 08:30 am and will be concluded by 5:00 pm. Conducting training burns like these gives our firefighters the chance to train on various skills like firing techniques, fire behavior observations, weather observations, fire suppression and mop-up operations. The training will be conducted to ensure controlled, safe and effective operations throughout the training drill. If there are any indications that this training cannot be completed in a safe manner, it may be rescheduled.

  • Training Burn Area: Approximately 1 acre
