Election Day Is November 3: Make Your Voice Heard!
Election Day is tomorrow, Tuesday, November 3, 2026, and the City of Weed encourages all eligible residents to participate in the democratic process and make their voices heard!
From electing representatives to deciding important local and statewide issues, every election provides an opportunity to help shape the future of our community.
Your City Council, Your Community
Among the important decisions facing Weed voters are the selection of members of the Weed City Council. City Council members help establish policies, set priorities, oversee municipal finances, and make decisions that affect the services and quality of life in our community.
We encourage residents to learn about the candidates, consider their qualifications and perspectives, and make informed choices about who will represent our community.
Take Time to Learn About Measure K
City of Weed voters will also have an opportunity to consider Measure K, a proposed one-and-a-half-percent (1.5%) transaction and use tax for general governmental purposes.
If approved by a majority of voters, Measure K would establish an additional local tax, with revenue available for general municipal purposes.
The City encourages residents to review the measure, understand its provisions, and consider available information on municipal services, infrastructure, and financial needs before making their decision.

Don't Forget the Other Issues on Your Ballot
Beyond City Council elections and Measure K, voters will have opportunities to weigh in on other local, county, state, and federal offices and ballot measures.
Each of these decisions contributes to the direction of our government and the communities we share. We encourage residents to review their entire ballot, research the candidates and issues, and make choices that reflect their own informed judgment.
