The Weed City Resident Firefighter Program is a great place to start. As a resident firefighter you live at the fire station and respond to all hazard emergencies including fires, medical aids, rescues, and many more. This live in firefighter program prepares you for all aspects of the fire service. This is a great position for those attending College of the Siskiyou’s Fire Academy. The Weed City Fire Department provides training to prepare you for a career in the fire service and has many opportunities for great experience. Those who attain a resident firefighter position have access to the departments 4 story training tower, vehicle fire trainer and flashover training unit. The Weed City Fire Resident Firefighter Program has a near 100% hiring rate to paid departments after completing the program.
