CITY OF WEED PLANNING COMMISSION

SPECIAL MEETING

OCTOBER 15, 2001

The Planning Commission of the City of Weed held a special meeting on Monday October 15, 2001, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall.

Chairman Virgil Tuman called the meeting to order. Present, in addition to Chairman Tuman were Commissioners Richard Acquistapace, Harold Balter, Candice Dillingham, Jess Gonzales and Teddy McGaughey. Also present was City Administrator Earl Wilson.

PUBLIC BUSINESS FROM THE FLOOR

Chairman Tuman invited comments and/or questions from the audience, and noted that no action could be taken by the Commission except to set the matter presented for the next regular Commission meeting. There were none.

REGULAR AGENDA

A. Planning Commissioners Workshop.

The purpose of the meeting is a continuation of a workshop held August 29^th, 2001 for Planning Commissioners on the planning commission, legal side of planning, state planning law, and planning terms. The Planning Commissioner’s Book prepared by the state Office of Planning and Research was used as the basis for the workshop. Discussion during the meeting centered on the legal side of planning and on the general plan. It was the consensus of the Commission at the beginning of the meeting to conclude the workshop at 9:00 p.m. The workshop proceeded to covering a portion of the material expected when the prearranged time arrived. It was then the consensus of the Commission to continue the workshop to another date to be determined at the next regular meeting.

ADJOURNMENT

Commissioner Balter moved adjournment, motion seconded by Commissioner Gonzales.

NOES: Commissioners: None

ABSENT: Commissioners: Heiser and McGaughey
