Mayor
Barnett invited comments from the audience on specific agenda items or any item
of interest that is within the Council’s jurisdiction noting that no action
could be taken by the Council except to set the matter presented for the next
regular Council meeting. There were
none.
City Administrator Earl Wilson reviewed previous
meetings at which time the Community Action Plan was reviewed and revised, and
introduced Brian Hoffman, Siskiyou County Economic Development Council to
facilitate the meeting’s activities.
Mr. Hoffman reviewed the project prioritization
that resulted from the Council’s last meeting on the Plan, noting that economic
development, beautification, rehabilitation of City Hall and downtown parking
received top rankings. Mr. Hoffman
recommended focus on these items to determine the “who”, “what”, and “when” for
the projects.
A round table discussion ensued, and ideas were
developed. City Administrator Wilson
stated that Planning Commissioner Dillingham submitted an idea for directional
signage and after discussion, it was added to the Plan.
When the topics were exhausted, Mr. Hoffman agreed
